LDS Set to Remain No. 1 Party Beyond Elections
Ljubljana, 7 March - The senior coalition party of Liberal Democrats (LDS) will mark its 10th anniversary this coming Friday. The largest parliamentary party emerged on 12 March 1994, set up by four centre-left parties at a joint congress at the lakeside resort of Bled. The party awaits its birthday celebrations with a strong decline in its voter support ratings, which have become level with those of the largest opposition party of Slovenian Democrats (SDS).
