Rupel Not a Candidate for EU Elections

Ljubljana, 17 March - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel will not run for a seat in the European Parliament at the June elections, the minister told Radio Slovenija Wednesday. As he explained, the Foreign Ministry is looking at some very important tasks this year therefore it would not be wise for him to back up from the post "in the middle of the year".
