Kosovo Violence Grabs Attention of Press

Ljubljana, 19 March - Two leading Slovenian dailies respond on Friday to the outbreak of violence in Kosovo. Delo compares the events to the Night of Broken Glass in Germany in 1938. Dnevnik, on the other hand, slams the international community for its "blindness". The two papers are split on what to do with the province: whereas Delo proposes a division along ethnic lines, Dnevnik calls for a clear vision for the province and greater economic aid.
