Managing Hospitals is Like Managing Companies, Panel Finds

Portorož, 19 March - The professions of the manager in the health sector and the doctor are incompatible, as medical doctors never distance themselves from their profession enough to do the work of managers. This was said at a panel debate on management excellence in the health sector, which also found that managing a hospital is like managing a company, as the manager has to guarantee the patients and the employees all their rights, while also providing development for the hospital.
