U.S. President Welcomes New NATO Members

Washington, 29 March - U.S. President George W. Bush has welcomed seven NATO newcomers as full and equal partners as he greeted the prime ministers of Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia on Monday. The Alliance will be stronger because of your presence, he told the officials who deposited NATO ratification documents on behalf of their countries, thereby officially ushering them into NATO.
