Referendum on the Future of Kosovo

Ljubljana, 29 September - Several polling stations were opened in Slovenia today, at which citizens of Kosovo currently living in Slovenia will decide upon the future status of this province. The voters will answer questions on the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Kosovo, with the right to associate with other republics in Yugoslavia. "In Yugoslavia" appears in parenthesis on the voting ballots, as the initiator of the referendum, the underground Kosovo parliament, took into account the possibility of Yugoslavia not existing anymore as a subject of international law.
