LAW ON MONETARY UNIT OF SLOVENIA

Ljubljana, 8 October - A new monetary unit called the tolar comes into effect in Slovenia today as the sole means of payment in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia. The abbreviation for the new Slovenian monetary unit is SLT. One SLT has 100 stotins. Ehe exchange rate of foreign currencies to the tolar will be determined by the Bank of Slovenia.
