Controversy about the image of Princely Stone Throne on the Tolar

Ljubljana, 9 October - According to Austrian Press Agency, APA, the Austrian regional representatives, including Zernatto and Heider, expressed negative reactions to the image of the Princely Stone Throne appearing on Slovenian Tolar. The professor of history, Dr. Bogo Grafenauer, said that the Princely Stone Throne near Kern castle, where Carinthians enthroned their princes, may be the national symbol of Slovenians but not of Slovenian state. The Princely Stone Throne is associated with Carinthia, which is why its use on the new Slovenian currency is inappropriate.
