Demand for dinars exceeds supply

Ljubljana, 22 October - The exchange of dinars for tolars and vice versa has been carried out today in seven offices of the Kompas border tourism service at the Slovenian-Croatian border. Another three exchange offices are to be opened soon. The exchange transactions are the most intensive at the Obrežje border crossing where over 120,000 dinars are daily bought or sold. The source are the dinars purchased from passengers crossing the border. The demand for the dinars exceeds the supply so that there are occasional shortages.
