Euro Elections: Conservatives Fare Strongly, LDS Served "Warning"

Ljubljana, 13 June - The conservative opposition parties in Slovenia have fared strongest in the first-ever elections to the European Parliament in the country, picking up four of the seven Slovenian seats. With almost all votes in, the opposition New Slovenia (NSi) is the biggest surprise, as it defied polls to end up the strongest party with 23.5 percent of the vote.
