Letter from Šeparović to European foreign ministers

Zagreb, 27 October - The Croatian foreign minister dr. Zvonko Šeparović sent a letter today to all foreign ministers of the European Community who will convene in Brussels at the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the EC on Monday. In the letter, Šeparović informs them that Croatia is in mortal danger, that it is a question of survival and that he therefore asks them for help and appropriate measures. In this war, there have already been more than five thousand killed, tens of thousands wounded, 350 thousand evacuated, while more than 150 thousand are blocked in Vukovar, Dubrovnik, Slunj and other Croatian cities. They are all endangered by the shortage of food, water, medical supplies and the most urgent medical help. The Croatian foreign minister therefore again asks the states of the European community for help.
