Assembly for the Republic Calls for Alternative to Ruling Parties

Ljubljana, 23 June - The Assembly for the Republic held its eagerly awaited maiden public forum Wednesday, which was marked by critical debates on the "Slovenian reality and future". The most resonant appeal came from philosopher Tine Hribar, who called for the creation of a new Demos - a coalition of parties that defeated the communists at the first multi-party elections in Slovenia.
