Vice-premier Šešerko receives Bukoshi

Ljubljana, 29 October - Slovenian vice-premier dr. Leo Šešerko today received dr. Bujar Bukoshi, the premier of the provisional government of Kosovo elected by the disbanded Kosovo parliament on October 19 this year. Dr. Bukoshi operates as an underground activist as Serbin authorities would imprison him if he was working in Kosovo. He thanked Slovenia for having made the referendum for independence of Kosovo possible, recalled the Slovenia's comprehensive assistance during the strike of Stari Trg miners and said that his government would very much appreciate if the Slovenian government and parliament were the first to recognize the independent and autonomous republic of Kosovo. Dr. Šešerko thanked for the visit and said that Slovenia supports democratic trends in Kosovo and Serbia in general. As for the recognition, it is an important political act which the Slovenian government has not yet discussed, Šešerko added.
