ATHENS OLYMPICS: History of Slovenia's Olympic Achievements

Ljubljana, 8 August - It was not until 1992 in France's Albertville that Slovenian athletes competed under the Slovenian flag, yet the beginnings of Slovenia's Olympic performances date back much farther. In the 108 years since the beginning of the modern-day Olympics, Slovenian athletes competed for all four states they have lived in: the Austro-Hungarian Empire, both Yugoslavias and the independent Slovenia.
