Vecer Takes a Look at Growing Absenteeism

Maribor, 5 August - If the average number of sick days taken by a Slovenian worker is cut by a single day, it would save the state some SIT 1.5bn (EUR 6.25m). This figure corresponds to 466 open heart surgeries or 1,300 hip operations, daily Vecer writes Thursday in response to the figures which show absenteeism is on the rise in the country.
