Ljubljana, 5 August - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 6 August:

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian and the Croatian chair of the standing commission on the implementation of the bilateral border cooperation agreement are due to meet in a bid to find a diplomatic solution after the latest incidents in the Bay of Piran. Slovenia's Aleksander Gerzina and Croatia's Olga Kresovic Rogulja are expected to debate an extension of the code of conduct for fishermen, which is expected to be effective as of Friday. The time and the venue of the meeting has not been disclosed, but a press release will be published after the meeting. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Health Ministry is scheduled to speak to the press at 11 AM to respond to the criticism directed against this department in the interpellation motion that has been filed against the government by two opposition parties. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Four non-parliamentary parties have announced a press conference for noon to introduce their coalition for the autumn general election (Women's Voice of Slovenia, Alliance for Primorsko, Association of Independents and New Democracy of Slovenia).

BLED - The 14th Okarina Festival, one of the oldest folk music festivals in Slovenia, will get under way in the evening with a concert by Slovenian band Kontrabant, and one of the most popular Scottish bands, The Tannhill Weavers. The festival will run until Sunday.

STUTTGART, Germany - A friendly between Slovenia and Germany's handball teams; at 7:30 PM.
