Ljubljana, 15 August - The appointment of former foreign minister Zoran Thaler to the helm of Simobil, Slovenia's second largest mobile operator, made headlines in the corporate world and revived debates about the influence of politics on companies. Despite Simobil's claims that Thaler's appointment has nothing to do with politics, the opposition seized the opportunity and alleged that the telecommunications market is now firmly in the hands of the ruling coalition, which poses a threat to personal data safety.
