Olympics: Yet Another Bad Day for Slovenian Swimmers

Athens, 15 August - The second day of swimming at the Athens Olympics on Sunday was just as unsuccessful for Slovenian swimmers as the first day. Peter Mankoc failed to qualify for the semis in his strongest event, the 200 m freestyle, and finished 22nd with a time of 1:50.72. Anja Carman managed second place in her heat of the women's 400 m freestyle, but her time of 4:17.79 was enough only for 24th place overall.
