Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 17 August

Ljubljana, 16 August - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 17 August:

LJUBLJANA - Dimitrij Rupel, the former foreign minister, is to speak to the press at 11 AM about the part of the government's reply to the interpellation motion that deals with foreign policy issues. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The leader of the junior coalition United List (ZLSD), Borut Pahor, is to speak to the press at 11 AM about his party's position on the government report on Slovenia's development between 2000 and 2004, which was presented as a reply to the interpellation motion against the government. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The People's Party (SLS) is to hold a press conference at 11:30 AM about centralisation in Slovenia and the the party's election campaign. (STA)

KOPER - The Assembly for the Republic is to hold its third public debate, entitled "Nation in a Nation State: for Slovenia of Equal Opportunities"; at 5 PM.

PRISTINA, Serbia-Montenegro - The Kosovar government is expected to take a decision on whether to annul the selection of the second mobile telephone operator in the province, as recommended by UNMIK. The Kosovar Telecommunications Ministry decided to give the license to a local partner of Slovenia's Mobitel, but the selection process was disputed by rival bidders, in particular the US group Western Wireless International.

LJUBLJANA - The organisers of the 52nd Ljubljana Summer Festival are to hold a press conference at 11:00 AM.

BRDO PRI KRANJU - The managers of the Slovenian and Serbian-Montenegrin national football teams, Brane Oblak and Ilija Petkovic, are to speak to the press at 1:30 PM, ahead of Wednesday's friendly in Ljubljana.
