Cross-Border Electricity Trade Benefits Slovenian Economy, Fabijan Says

Maribor, 17 August - Although Slovenia uses more electricity than it produces, the leading Slovenian electricity supplier exports part of its energy to Italy. This is because of higher prices of electricity in Italy, while Slovenian customers can benefit from lower prices of imported energy from Austria, said general manager of Holding Slovenske elektrarne, Drago Fabijan.
