Drnovsek Rebuffs Croatian President's Statements on the Border

Maribor, 28 August - Slovenian President Janez Drnovsek does not agree with his Croatian counterpart Stipe Mesic that the land border between Slovenia and Croatia is a fact and only the maritime border needs to be finalised. "This fact of his is more a desire, as it has no basis - neither in a legal act, nor in an agreement," Drnovsek said in an interview for Vecer.
