Supervisor: Higher Dividend Not to Jeopardise Telco's Development

Ljubljana, 31 August - The shareholders of the Slovenian telco, Telekom Slovenije, on Tuesday backed the state's proposal that SIT 577 (EUR 2.41) be paid out per dividend, which is 107 (EUR 0.45) more than proposed by the management and the supervisory board. As a consequence, SIT 3.7bn (EUR 15.4m) of last year's profit of over SIT 9bn (EUR 37.5m) will be allocated for dividends, with the state getting about SIT 2.3bn (EUR 9.6m).
