Some 40,000 Enterprises Registered in Slovenia

At the end of March, 39,597 enterprises were registered in the statistical register. This number includes 5,398 enterprises in industry, 566 in agriculture, 70 in forestry, 14 in waterworks, 1,983 in construction, 1,048 in transport and communications, 9,157 in trade, 1.565 in hotel and tourism industry, 2.933 in small business, 415 in communal maintenance, 15,204 in finances, 1,152 in education and culture, and 92 in the sector of health and social protection, reported the state institute of statistics.
