Ljubljana, 27 April - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 28 April:

LJUBLJANA - EU Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Joaquin Almunia is to begin a two-day visit. He is due to meet Prime Minister Janez Jansa, Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk and Bank of Slovenia Governor Mitja Gaspari. He is also scheduled to hold a lecture on the euro adoption at the Center Evropa information centre at 2 PM. (STA)

SKOPJE, Macedonia - Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati is to begin a two-day official visit to Macedonia. Cukjati is to meet his counterpart Ljupce Jordanovski at 4 PM, while talks with President Branko Crvenkovski, Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski and representatives of deputy groups are scheduled for Friday.

PARIS, France - Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairman Dimitrij Rupel is to attend the opening of an OSCE conference on preventing violence against women. He is also due to hold talks with French Foreign Minister Michel Barnier and Minister for European Affairs Claudie Haignere.

LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its weekly session, to adopt a view on the amendments to the tax legislation demanded by students and to asses the proposed amendments to the act on public sector wage system. A news conference is scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A round table (at 11 AM) and a news conference (at 12:30 PM) are to be staged by the Slovenian organisers of the EU campaign dubbed "For Diversity. Against Discrimination".
