Ljubljana, 15 May - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 16 May:

WARSAW, Poland - Prime Minister Janez Jansa and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel are to attend a two-day summit of the Council of Europe (CoE). Jansa is to take part in the afternoon plenary debate that is to examine the challenges facing European Society. Rupel, who is to attend the summit as the OSCE chairman-in-office, is to attend a plenary on European security and sign a joint declaration on cooperation between the CoE and OSCE. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The May session of the National Assembly is to kick off at 2 PM with questions time. (STA)

VRTOJBA - Hauliers from Slovenia and Italy are to block toll collecting points on the Vrtojba/San Andrea border crossing between the countries at 9 AM to protest against border tolls. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Economic Research is to present the annual report on global competitiveness for 2004/2005 and a review of Slovenian competitiveness; at 11 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is to speak about progress in denationalisation as well as the supplementary budget.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenian MEP Jelko Kacin is to hold a press conference about the prospects of countries from the Western Balkans for joining the European Union; at 11 AM.

NICOSIA, Cyprus - A delegation of the Constitutional Court, headed by its president Janez Cebulj, is to take part in a four-day European Conference of Constitutional Courts.
