Petek Case Suspects Acquitted, Prosecution Will Appeal

Murska Sobota, 29 August - All five suspects in the attempted murder of ex-journalist Miro Petek have been acquitted of all charges by the Murska Sobota District Court in a verdict handed down 15 months after the start of the trial on Monday. The prosecution, led by Elizabeta Gyoerkoes, has already announced it will appeal the verdict, while Petek said he was deeply disappointed.
