Ljubljana, 24 March - VEČER: UNDER EUROPEAN PROTECTION - Yesterday's Helsinki decision (to admit Slovenia to full CSCE membership) is an important victory of Germany and Europe (with France's strong support) which made it clear to the overseas allies that in its own house Europe would attend to order and make the rules of the game by itself. For Slovenia, it is important that the CSCE is the first international organization of which it will become a member and that this membership ensures it an internationally guaranteed security. The task facing Slovenia now is to revise the assessments on the level of jeopardy and reduce the requirements for active defence forces, armament and the financing of these, comments Slavko Vizovišek.
