PRESS REVIEW FROM SLOVENIA, March 27, 1992

Ljubljana, 27 March - DELO: FROM A ONE-CELL ORGANISM TO THE PRIME MINISTER - The coalition parties are not capable of forming and not prepared to make party links. The short-term associations which are appearing in the Slovenian political arena from time to time are no kind of sophisticated and complex coalitions but only the sum of individual party characteristics, in the political evolutionary scale, something like the on-cell organisms in the evolution of species.
The middle oriented parties have revealed that, like their opponent, they do not see very far and that all negotiations on elections and the programme of the new government has been a manoeuvre until now concealing the legitimate desire that a new political team is raised to government. The voters should only be concerned with the fact that Bavčar does not know how to satisfactorily explain why he is against Drnovšek, Drnovšek why he is against Bavčar and Peterle why he remains prime minister, writes Miran Lesjak in the main theme of the day.
