LDS Congress: Stakes Getting Higher as Vote on New Leader Nears

Ljubljana, 15 October - The three candidates bidding to succeed Anton Rop as the leader of the opposition Liberal Democracy (LDS) outlined their vision of the LDS at Saturday's congress of the party. Meanwhile, Slovenian president Janez Drnovsek, a long-time LDS leader, called on the party to "elect a good leadership for the future", while refusing to endorse any of the candidates.
