Ljubljana, 24 October - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 25 October:

LJUBLJANA - The four biggest trade union associations are to stage a joint press conference to present preparations for workers' protests against the government reforms, which, they claim, aim to curb workers' economic and social rights; at 11 AM, to be followed by a meeting with PM Janez Jansa in the afternoon. GORIZIA, Italy - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to meet Mayor of Gorizia Vittorio Brancati (11 AM), representatives of the Slovenian minority (5 PM) and the head of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, Riccardo Illy (5:30 PM). (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliament session is to resume with the second reading on the bill on double pricing in euros and tolars, amendments to the act on the employment of foreigners and the bill on incompatibility of holding public office and performing gainful activity.

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - The last day of a meeting of EU agriculture ministers, which is dedicated to bird flu and sugar reform. Slovenia's Marija Lukacic is on hand for the event.

ATHENS, Greece - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak it so attend a meeting of his counterparts from the EU and SE Europe, to sign an agreement on establishing an energy community.

VIENNA, Austria - A meeting of presidents of parliament, to be attended by the President of the National Council, the Slovenian upper chamber, Janez Susnik.

LJUBLJANA - The Environment Ministry is to host a debate entitled "Where after Kyoto?" in association with the environmental association Fokus; at 10 AM.

LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to award nine state decorations for contributions to Slovenia; at 3:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to meet Turkey's new residential defence attache to Slovenia, Colonel Kahraman Guunes, at 9:30 AM.

CELJE - Business club Zlatorog is to host a debate on the future of the fastest-growing companies at 6 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Festival of Slovenian Film, due to start on 1 December, is to be presented to the press at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to host a public debate on cultural heritage, which starts at 10 AM.

NOVA GORICA - A celebration marking 50 years of theatre in Nova Gorica is to take place at 6 PM. A press conference is scheduled for 11 AM.
