Schedule of Events for Friday, 11 November

MOKRICE - Chamber of Trade (OZS) president Miroslav Klun is to hold a meeting with his Croatian counterpart Stjepan Safran. Economics Minister Adrej Vizjak and his Croatian counterpart Branko Vukelic are to be on hand for the occasion, which starts at 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Minister Andrej Bajuk is to present the act on municipal and utility bonds and Environment Minister Janez Podobnik amendments to the act on the national housing saving scheme at a press conference scheduled for 1 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Council of Europe (CoE) resource centre is to present a publication on CoE local self-government documents to mark the 20th anniversary of the Charter of Local Self-Government; at 10 AM, to be followed by a panel on local democracy in Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The second day of debates at a scientific conference examining the international and local implications of the 1975 Treaty of Osimo is to get underway at 9 AM.

PORTOROZ - A final report is to be adopted on the closing day of the ministerial session of the 14th meeting of the Barcelona Convention signatories.

LJUBLJANA - State Secretary at the Hungarian Defence Ministry Imre Ivancsik is to conclude his two-day visit with separate talks with the head of the parliamentary defence committee Anton Anderlic and State Secretary at the Foreign Ministry Bozo Cerar.

PORTOROZ - The opening of the Days of Slovenian Bankers at 2 PM. Bankers are expected to debate the European economic area behind closed doors.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary committee on EU affairs is to examine the government's position on EU Council directive on the taxation of cars. The closed-door session starts at 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Pharmacy is to speak to the press at 10 AM to present its take on the bill on drugs, which will allow specialist stores other than pharmacies to sell over-the-counter drugs.

MURSKA SOBOTA - The Slovenian Armed forces are to present a new mobile army surgical unit at 10:45 AM.
