Ljubljana, 13 November - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 14 November:

NICOSIA, Cyprus - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to pay an official visit to Cyprus to meet President Tassos Papadopoulos, FM George Iacovou and Parliament Speaker Demetris Christofias. Rupel, who will be accompanied by a strong business delegation, is to speak to the press at 12:30 PM. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - An annual autumn meeting of EU chiefs-of-staffs is to begin, focusing on the fight against terrorism. Captain Renato Petric will represent Chief-of-Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Major General Ladislav Lipic.

BOSTANJ - The leading power company, Holding Slovenske elektrarne (HSE), is to bring on line at 11 AM the hydro power plant Bostanj, and lay the foundation stone for a new hydro power station, Blanca, at noon. Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak to attend. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - KD Investments, the asset management arm of the investment group KD Group, is to present to the press its decision to sell its stake in Slovenia's largest grocer, Mercator, at 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The new leader of the main opposition party, the Liberal Democrats (LDS), Jelko Kacin, is to comment to the press at 11 AM on the government's proposal to see Slovenian classified as two cohesion regions in the EU.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - The EU Council on education, youth and culture is to begin a two-day session to try and reach agreement on the action plans Youth 2007, Culture 2007, and Media 2007. Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti is to represent Slovenia.

GOTHENBURG, Sweden - The start of a two-day ministerial conference "Toward a Knowledge-Based Society - a Scandinavian Experience". Slovenia to be represented by Local Government and Regional Policy Minister Ivan Zagar.

LONDON, the UK - The three-day World Travel Market is to get underway. As many as 19 Slovenian tourist agencies with around 80 representatives are to be presented, within the organisation of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO).

LJUBLJANA - Parliament Speaker France Cukjati and deputy faction leaders are to continue a debate on two different proposals to set up a commission to investigate the disputed sale of the stakes that two state-run funds held in Mercator; at 1 PM.

JERUSALEM, Israel - Slovenian Ambassador to Israel Iztok Jarc is to attend a ceremony marking 10 years since the murder of Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin, also to be attended by other high-profile foreign officials.

LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to receive the new Croatian defence attache to Slovenia, Bojan Suligoj, and the chair of the Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD), Marshall S. Billingslea.

LJUBLJANA - State Secretary at the Economics Ministry Andrijana Starina Kosem is to hold a press conference at noon to discuss the bill on Slovenia's business register.

LJUBLJANA - Societies, movements, NGO's and individuals from different parts of Europe are to discuss the issue of the erased and the deportation of Alija Berisha and his family from Slovenia at a press conference at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - At a news conference at 11 AM, the Civil Society for the Border in Istria is to present its complaint filed at the state prosecution to look into the genocide in the village of Strigova in 1947 and ethnocide along the entire south border.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Trade Union of Trade Workers is to talk to the press at 11 AM about the amendments to the trade act regarding the opening hours of shops. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Peace Institute is to host a forum dubbed "Turkey and Ukraine in the EU?", starting at 7 PM.
