Ljubljana, 22 November - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 23 November:
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia FM and OSCE chairman Dimitrij Rupel is to stage a news conference at 11 AM to speak about the 13th OSCE ministerial meeting, which will be held in Ljubljana on 5 and 6 December. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Armenian President Robert Kocharian is to finish his two-day official visit to Slovenia by meeting FM and OSCE chairman Dimitrij Rupel (8:45 AM) and Speaker of the National Assembly France Cukjati (9:30 AM).
LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive representatives of all four trade unions which have announced a mass protest against the government structural reforms for this Saturday. A statement for the press is scheduled for after the 11 AM meeting. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - State Secretary for European Affairs Marcel Koprol is to give a news conference at 1 PM to outline the Office for European Affairs activities in the past year and plans for 2006.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU agriculture ministers, including Slovenia's Marija Lukacic, are to continue talks on the latest sugar reform proposal. Lukacic considers the compromise put forward by the British EU presidency a step forward, yet, Slovenia is not fully satisfied with it.
LJUBLJANA - Croatian analyst Davor Gjenero is to discuss Slovenian-Croatian relations following "the destruction of the bilateral agreement by both countries". The lecture, organised by Slovenia's International Relations Association, begins at 5 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to resume its November session at 10 AM with a debate on changes to two more tax laws (income tax, tax procedure). MPs are also expected to debate a government-sponsored bill on companies. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A press conference is to be staged at 2 PM as part of the assembly of the European Confederation of Property Managers (CEPI), which is organised by the Chamber of Commerce's Property Association.
KRANJ - The Gorenjsko Regional Development Council is to meet for an emergency session at 5 PM to discuss the consequences of the planned division of Slovenia into two cohesion regions.
LJUBLJANA - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is to receive the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Slovenia Peran Boskovic at 10 AM to discuss open issues. No statement to the press scheduled.
LJUBLJANA - A panel on how Albanians, Bosnians, Montenegrins, Croats, Macedonians and Serbs live in Slovenia is to be organised at 6 PM by the Peace Institute in cooperation with the Dutch and British embassies.
