Weekly Review of Slovenian Business & Economy from 19 to 25 November

Ljubljana, 27 November - Opponents and supporters of government-sponsored economic reforms have been clashing throughout the week, prior to the 26 November mass protests against the measures. Slovenia's four biggest trade unions met President Drnovsek on Wednesday, and agreed on the necessity of the reforms, however not by decreasing social rights. The Railway Transport Trade Union meanwhile cancelled its one-day strike scheduled for 28 Novembre, while Ziga Debeljak accepted the offer to become the CEO of grocer Mercator.
