Ljubljana/Maribor, 4 August - Slovenia's leading dailies believe that the local elections, which have been called for 22 October, will be a big test for the coalition parties two years after the change of government. Dnevnik and Vecer moreover believe that the voting will be a face-off between the ruling SDS and the biggest opposition party, the LDS, whereby the latter could face dire consequences if it fails to muster sufficient support.
