Exit Polls: Kangler Takes Maribor, Pecan Ousted in Izola

Ljubljana, 12 November - Franc Kangler of the coalition People's Party (SLS) is projected to be the new mayor of Maribor, according to exit polls released by POP TV and TV Slovenija. Both polls give him just over 55%, while independent Gregor Pivec, who ran with the endorsement of the ruling Slovenian Democrats (SDS) and New Slovenia (NSi), got some 45%.
