Analysts: Rupar Swept Out of Office by Scandal

Ljubljana, 12 November - The vote in Trzic was one of the most closely watched races in Sunday's mayoral run-off in the aftermath of a scandal which led to the resignation of incumbent Pavle Rupar from parliament. Political analysts are unanimous that it was the scandal that swept him out of the mayoral office, as he lost to Borut Sajovic of the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS).
