EU PRESIDENCY: MEP Peterle Says Croatia Will Realise Slovenia its Best Advocate

Brussels, 30 November - MEP Lojze Peterle (EPP/NSi) has said that Croatia "will sooner or later discover that Slovenia is its best advocate in the EU and that it pays to have good relations with it". He told STA that he hoped Slovenia's presidency would enable the countries of the former Yugoslavia to make progress in their bids to join the EU.
