PM Wants More EU Input on Kosovo, Says Macedonia Top Candidate

Klagenfurt, 6 November - Prime Minister Janez Jansa has told an Austrian weekly that EU countries should play a more proactive role in resolving the future status of Kosovo rather than merely waiting to see what the Kosovo troika will say in its report to the UN secretary general. Jansa also called for the speedy awarding of EU candidate country status to Serbia and Macedonia, referring to the latter as the top candidate in the region.
