EU Agrees on Emissions Quotas for Airlines, Slovenia Pleased

Brussels, 20 December - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik welcomed Thursday's decision of the EU's Environment Council to impose carbon dioxide emissions quotas on airlines as of 2012. "It is right" that the airline industry is also included in the system for curbing greenhouse emissions, Podobnik said.
