Rupel Says Slovenia Ready to Assume EU Presidency
Ljubljana, 28 December - Slovenia is prepared for the EU presidency, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said in an interview for STA just days before Slovenia takes over the helm of the bloc. His only concern is that things will get complicated at home because of the 2008 general election, as some could try to use the presidency for political goals behind others' backs.
