PM Confident EU Presidency Will Be a Success

Ljubljana, 1 January - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is confident that Slovenia will be a successful presiding EU country in the first half of 2008. In his welcome address on the official website of the Slovenian presidency (http://www.eu2008.si), Jansa says that Slovenia wants to show that the EU can function effectively after the signing of the Lisbon Treaty. "It is my firm belief that we shall be successful in this."
