EU Regrets Sri Lanka's Withdrawal from Ceasefire Agreement

Ljubljana, 7 January - The EU said on Monday it regretted the decision of the Sri Lankan government to abrogate the ceasefire agreement concluded with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in 2002. "This decision and the current military campaign further deteriorate the country's already difficult situation," the Slovenian presidency said.
