Commission Starts Talks with Slovenian Govt on EU Priorities

Brdo pri Kranju, 8 January - The European Commission began talks with the Slovenian government on the priorities of the EU during Slovenia's stint at the helm of the bloc in the first half of 2008. Launching the meeting at the Brdo pri Kranju estate, Prime Minister Janez Jansa received European Commission Vice President Margot Wallstroem, who assessed that the Slovenian presidency represents the end of the division of the EU between old and new members.
