EU Welcomes Presidential Pardon of Azerbaijani Journalists

Ljubljana, 8 January - The EU presidency welcomed on Tuesday long awaited release of five journalists imprisoned in Azerbaijan, who had been pardoned on the occasion of Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis on 31 December. The presidency also stressed its hopes for a timely release of three further journalists held captive.
