Parliament Ratifies Lisbon Treaty

Ljubljana, 29 January - The National Assembly ratified on Tuesday the Lisbon Treaty in a 74-to-6 vote. The document is to ensure efficient operation of the enlarged European Union and strengthen its role in the world. Slovenia became the second EU country to ratify the document, after Hungary.
