Barroso and EPP Welcome Ratification of Lisbon Treaty

Brussels, 30 January - European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso congratulated Slovenia on Tuesday for its ratification of the Lisbon reform treaty. According to Barroso, the parliament's yes vote is an expression of support for a more effective, democratic and transparent EU that is stronger.
