Minister Mate Defends Decision to Phase In SIS II

Brussels, 31 January - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate defended in the European Parliament on Thursday the decision to postpone the next-generation Schengen Information System, the SIS II. Security is of paramount concern in the process, he said at the debate on achievements in setting up the area of freedom, security and justice.
