EU Condemns Arrest of Riyad Seif and Other Syrian Activists

Ljubljana, 1 February - The Slovenian EU presidency condemned on Friday the arrest of Mr Riyad Seif, the prominent member of the democratic opposition and former Member of the Syrian Parliament, which took place on 28 January 2008, and the detention of eleven other signatories of the Damascus Declaration.
