Idrija Mercury Mine Nominated for UNESCO World Heritage Site
Ljubljana, 7 February - The Slovenian town of Idrija in west Slovenia alongside two mining towns in Spain and Mexico have filed the first ever serial intercontinental bid for a UNESCO World Heritage Site listing, the Culture Ministry wrote in a press release on Thursday.
